Well, my prime source of music is Florence and the Machine and I struggle to find other artists I like. So maybe we can share what other artists we listen to?

Hi, I love the XX, Coldplay, Of Monsters And Men and Spector

Grace slick from Jefferson airplane sounds a lot like Florence (I think she modelled her singing on Grace in fact). Others have already said but Lykke Li, marina and the diamonds,clare maguire and esben and the witch all sound kind of florency.

Aside from them I like:Arcade fire, of monsters and men, Emilie autumn, Niki and the dove, the dresden dolls, nightwish,austra,indica, the birthday massacre, first aid kit, blood red shoes, kanon wakeshima, ellie goulding, beirut, Madness, Epica, indica, stolen babies, birdeatsbaby, katzenjammer kabaratt, Plan B, dizzee rascal, lady gaga, st vincent, sisters of mercy, fever ray, noah and the whale, ASP, kraftwerk, dry the river, die antwoord, blondie, bjork, kate bush,nirvana, yeah yeah yeahs, sirenia, rasputina, neutral milk hotel, tarot and Kate nash.

Probably more but thats all I can remember right now .

I love so much Niki & The Dove ! DJ Ease My Mind is one of my fave song of 2012 ! SO PERFECT. And I love the album. Swedish bands are awesome.
And Austra... omg. I'm a big fan. Am I crazy or the voice of the singer really sounds like Flo ? The first time I listened Austra I was like : "WTF, is it Florence Welch ?". My fave song is The Villain. This band is like a second FATM for me tbh. But there are more electro beats and synthpop in their music.

Yeaaaaaah I like these guys ! British new band of the year ! Mercury Prize totally deserved. I'm addicted to Breezeblocks, this song is awesome. And their videos are so epic !

^I though austra sounded really like Florence as well. I got the song Lose it free on I-tunes and was really surprised at how alike they were vocal-wise.

The knife and fever ray are really good Swedish bands as well (well Fever ray is a solo project)

Lose It is so awesoooome. But I don't like their videos, they are very... strange.
Lose It + Beat & The Pulse + The Villain are my faves Austra's song.
Feel It Break and Ceremonials are the best album of 2011 !

My fave swedish band is Mando Diao (indie rock). I love The Knife too, El Perro Del Mar, and a new project with a swedish band and an australian singer called "Kate Boy" (1st album coming soon...)

Is it okay that I like Nicki Minaj? Because she's such a guilty pleasure!

Love Jefferson Airplane myself. The band had a huge influence on Florence. She said it herself-- at the moment I can think of 2 instances: park performance of My Boy Builds Coffins and that poetry radio show of Mr Gee.

Flo is also into Fleetwood Mac I believe. Great band. I can hear (not technically, maybe just "feel") their influence sometimes in some FATM songs.

^Yeah she said she watched a lot of old shows from Fleetwood Mac. I think you can see Stevie's influence in the clothes she wore and the dancing she did during the Lungs era shows rather than in the music itself.

I'm old school, so maybe a few that people haven't heard of here.

My first musical love is Kate Bush. There's a lot of Kate's influence in Florence's music, not so much the voice, but more the percussive elements and whole aesthetic, particularly around the 'The Dreaming' and 'Hounds of Love' era. Florence has named 'Hounds of Love' as 'the album I'll be listening to in 25 years'. I'll never tire of Kate's music, just as I'll probably never tire of Florence.

I'm really shit in genres and similar artists, but I think Feist is a bit similar to F+tM. And Niki & the Dove maybe. In one of their songs there is a drum-line which really reminds me of Drumming Song.

Surprised to see so many people listing Emilie autumn Nice to see she is getting more popular.

Zola Jesus is similar to Florence in a way, the song Manifest destiny in particular.

They're not very famous, so I don't know if you know them but the band MS MR is soooooo similar to FATM. The singer has a very different voice but that really sound like FATM music in many ways, it's really awesome.

Another artist who is similar to F+tM is 'I am Harlequin'.
