FATM favs
Song: Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)- I love this song because it is about being willing to make sacrifices for one's dreams. I have been struggling with depression and some times it feels like no matter what I do that "it's not enough." I have hope that I am not the only one who struggles with this. More and more I am getting better. I hope to be a Theology professor but I fear sometimes that I lack what it takes to achieve that. Florence gives me hope that dispute my fears that I can keep going for my dream.
Album:Ceremonials- I love both of FATM's albums, but I like this one best of the two because I really like spiritual imaginary. I'm majoring in both Catholic Theology and Philosophy so go figure.
Music Video:Shake It Out-This is actually my favorite music video period. The story is compelling. Florence's 1920's outfits are glamorous and really suit her. I love all the lash colors and the stunning cinematography.
Cover: You've Got The Love- Florence has said that she does not consider her self religious. With that said the hope and sincerity that Florence put into singing this song at the Alexandra Palace drove me to tears when I heard it on the BBC stream of the show. Like a lot of people today I think that Florence believes or at lest would like to believe in a higher power while she does not belong to a specific religion. She has said that this song makes her feel loved and I think the spiritual message of the song is something that Florence is aware of.
Personally I have had the reputation of being vary Catholic. Most of my day is spent ether studying Theology, praying, or helping out with a Church related activity. With that said sometimes with my depression there would days I would be so sad that it was hard for me to even pray. When I was that low I would play FATM's You've Got the Love and I would in a way let Florence pray for and with me. That song helped me to fours on what should really matters to a person of faith. That God loves me not matter what.
Collaboration: Sweet Nothing with Calvin Harris- I have always found the saying "sweet nothings" odd. Why would one want to say sometime to their beloved that really meant nothing?! I think Calvin and Florence lyric writing for this song is vary clever. I have really started to get into dance music so it is cool to see Florence's take on that.
Live Performance: Gosh! It so hard to pick just one (well that goes for everything on this list). I really like FATM's show at the 2010 Oxygen festival in Ireland. Normally I rainy show would be a think that could hinder a performance but not for FATM. I think the rain made the show better because Florence looked like a mermaid dancing all over the place. All the band member look epic playing in the rain.

Song:Hard to choose but at the moment its No light, No light
Album:Lungs, I love each and every song while a few on Ceremonials get skipped
Music Video:Either the original dog days or Spectrum
Cover:The one I listen to the most is Take care
Collaboration:Sweet nothing with Calvin harris
Live Performance:Belfast 2010 cos I was there. But of filmed ones you can watch online probably the Albert Hall concert or the early show in Amsterdam when she was more wild.

Re: Your favourite Florence + the Machine...
Song: Drumming Song, Spectrum, No Light, No Light, Cosmic Love...nah, really, I like almost all of them to the point I could listen to them 200 times in a row.....
Album: Ceremonials but I love Lungs too. It's just that I think Ceremonials fits together better so you can listen to it entirely while staying in some sort of epic dreaming state
Music Video: Shake it Out and the old Dog Days video
Cover: Take Care and Oh! Darling
Collaboration: The Bachelor with Patrick Wolf, I know the quality sucks but I think they sound amaaazing together! (kick ass wise nothing beats Gimme Shelter though, was afraid Jagger might die on stage)
Live Performance: Düsseldorf 2012 for my own personal reasons but the concert I end up watching the most is the Royal Albert Hall one because it's so different from the others and her voice is even more devine than usually. I have seen so many concerts on youtube though that it's starting to get difficult to remember all of them....*cough*

Favorite song: What the Water Gave Me
Album: Ceremonials
Music Video: Spectrum
Cover: "Oh Darling"
Colloboration: none. I don't like rap and I hate it when she does it. Also Mick Jagger sounded terrible on "Gimme Shelter"
Live Performance: I saw her at The Woodlands, TX. United States. I was in the pit on the first row and I was in heaven. She was amazing.

Re: Your favourite Florence + the Machine...
Personally for me, I think:
Song: Drumming Song, Rabbit Heart, Remain Nameless, Breath of Life, Howl
Album: Lungs overall, but of course I adore Ceremonials!
Music Video: Shake It Out / Rabbit Heart
Cover: The Chain
Collaboration: Horrors ft Florence Welch - Still Life
Live Performance: Sweet Nothing at the O2. Amazing. Or Rabbit Heart at T in the Park 2009 where she sings the chorus high.

Mandaaay's Answer...
Okay, here I go:
My favourite FATM:
Song: I here by pronounce it impossible to pick just one. But personally I love Only If For A Night, Breaking Down & Cosmic Love because of a connection I have, but seriously, every single one is amazing and has come from the heart.
Album: Again, impossible to choose, but I'm definitely a Ceremonials girl.
Music Video: Has to be the original Dog Days one, Shake It Out or Sweet Nothing because, you know, she strips.
Cover: Definitely Take Care. She made that song so much less trashy.
Collaboration: With Calvin Harris for Sweet Nothing.
Live Performance: The final show of the Ceremonials Era, in Dublin on Dec 12th. I witnessed everything! Stripping, Wrestling, Flo telling someone they had no boobs, Lawrence the Lion, Drumming with Haim, Crowd surfing during Kiss With A Fist. By far her best show ever!
